The Ecological Cities Project
The Ecological Cities Project is a quasi-independent program of research, teaching and outreach affiliated with the Department of Geosciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental Affairs
Departments within the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs are: the Department of Environmental Protection; Metropolitan District Commission; Department of Food and Agriculture; Department of Fisheries, Wildlife and Environmental Law Enforcement; and the Department of Environmental Management. Their areas of interest include the state of our environment, community preservation, open space protection, biodiversity, environmental education, pollution prevention, watershed initiative, and lakes and ponds strategy.
Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries
The mission of the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries is to manage the Commonwealth's living marine resources and the harvesting of those resources by the commercial and recreational fisheries, while maintaining a diverse number of self-sustaining fish populations at healthy levels of abundance in balance with the ecosystem.
Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection

Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management

Environmental League of Massachusetts
Established 100 years ago as the Massachusetts Forestry Association, the Environmental League of Massachusetts is dedicated to protecting the air, water, and land for the people of the Commonwealth by voicing citizen's concerns, educating the public, advocating for strong environmental laws, and ensuring that the laws are implemented and enforced.
Massachusetts Audubon Society
Established in 1896, the Massachusetts Audubon Society, the largest conservation organization in New England, protects conservation land, conducts educational programs and advocates for sound environmental policies.
Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions
MACC represents and supports the municipal environmental agencies in 351 cities and towns of the Commonwealth.
The Trustees of Reservations
The nation's oldest private, statewide conservation and preservation organization. Since 1891, The Trustees have protected over 46,000 acres in Massachusetts, including 91 public reservations representing many of the state's most scenic, ecologically rich, and historically important landscapes.
Tufts Institute of the Environment
Tufts Institute of the Environment (TIE) is devoted to advancing and disseminating knowledge about the many ways human interactions affect the environment. TIE focuses its activities on environmental research, technology, policy development, and education to improve environmental quality as it relates to human health.

Center for Environmental Education (CEE) of Antioch New England Institute
The Center for Environmental Education's mission is to create greener K-12 schools and communities. The two main parts of CEE are: the CEE Resource Center (providing environmental education materials) and the CEE programs (working with particular schools, districts, and communities) to create model community-based environmental education projects.
Conservation Law Foundation
Based in New England, The Conservation Law Foundation is the largest regional environmental advocacy organization in the United States.
Earth Share of New England
Established in 1992, Earth Share of New England (formerly the Environmental Federation of New England) is a coalition of environmental organizations working to protect and preserve our natural resources and public health.
Environmental Business Council of New England
Conceived in 1990, the Environmental Business Council of New England was the first organization in the United States established to support and foster the development of the environmental industry.
