The Cape Cod region of Massachusetts is composed of Barnstable County, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. The largest town in the region is Barnstable.

Unlike most of the rest of Massachusetts, Extension on Cape Cod is county-funded. Barnstable County provides primary funding for Cape Cod Extension. In Barnstable County, Extension staff collaborate with Extension at UMass on many projects. (see list below). In addition, Cape Cod Extension conducts programs in areas such Marine Conservation and Aquaculture, Household Hazardous Waste Collection and Horticulture (see www.capecodextension.org).
